दिनांक - 13 मार्च 2019 को किरतपुर अंचल के झगरूआ ग्राम में हुए अग्निकांड में 57 परिवारों के घर क्षतिग्रस्त हो गए थे। अग्निकांड में एक बच्चे की मृत्यु हो गयी थी। जिला प्रशासन द्वारा त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए तत्काल अग्निपीड़ित परिवारों को मुआवजा राशि एवं अन्य सहायता उपलब्ध कराया गया।
आज रेड क्रॉस के सौजन्य से झगरूआ ग्राम के अग्निपीड़ितों को जरूरी आवश्यक सामग्रियाँ उपलब्ध कराया गया, जिसमें प्रति प्रभावित परिवार को 02 साड़ी, 02 रेडिमेट कुर्ता, 02 बनियान, 01 रेडिमेट ब्लाउज, 01 रेडिमेट पेटीकोट, 01 धोती एवं 01 गमछा शामिल है।
इस अवसर पर रेड क्रॉस के अध्यक्ष डॉ0 रामबाबु खेतान, सचिव श्री मनमोहन सरावगी, सहायक सचिव श्री आलोक सिंह एवं सदस्य श्री प्रकाश सिंह उपस्थित थे।
Red cross Lakhisarai adopted district registration office campus to make it ecofriendly by plantation and cleaning of the campus in coordination with its partner organization" Rotary club" Lakhisarai. This started on first week aug and continued till last week . Now with help of Registrar , we will be able to start public latrine and urinal in the campus very soon.
IRCS, Bihar Branch has established Eye Centre in Polyclinic with well equipped. In this center, renowned Doctore of State of Patna will provide their services. Power glace will be provided to the patients at very nominal rate i.e. Rs. 200/-.

Dr, B, B, Sinha, Chairman, IRCS, Bihar State Branch has to say that eye disease is increasing day by day, therefore, this Eye Hospital has been started to treat the patients easily.
Dr. B.B. Sinha, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Bihar State branch informed that to-day on 05th July 2018 voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized by Red Cross Blood Bank in collaboration with “the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” Patna in the premises of ICAI Shiksha Sadan, Patliputra Colony, Patna under the guidance of Dr. D. Nath. Total 39 members of “the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” have donated their blood voluntarily.

The main donors of “the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” Patna were Shri Abhishek Mallik, Shri Keshav Kumar, Shri
C.A. Durgesh Kumar, C.A. Durgesh Kumar, C.S. Neeraj Kumar, Ms. Riya Sharma and others.

Dr. D. Nath did the health checkup of the Blood Donors in the camp.
Today on 04th July 2018 two voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized in collaboration with Rotary Club Patna and Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Patna in which total 50 people donated their blood voluntary. First Blood Donation Camp organized at the Red Cross Blood Bank at Red Cross Bhawan, North of Gandhi Maidan, Patna which was inaugurated by Dr. B.B. Sinha, Chairman. On this occasion Shri Vinod Bhanti, Member, Managing Committee, was Present. During his inaugural speech, Dr. Sinha told the people to donate their blood voluntarily at the regular interval of every three months.

The Second Blood Donation Camp organized at the campus of Beur Sewerage Net Work, Opposite Indian Bank, Near Bear Jail, Patna, where 40 Officers and Staff of “Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Patna.” were donated their blood.

The main donors of “Larsen & Toubro Ltd,.” were Shri Vijay Kumar, Shri Vikash Goyal, Shri Santosh Kumar Pandey, Shri Prakash Shrivastava, Shri Shrik Sudama Mukhopadhaya and of “Rotary Club, Patna” were Shri C. B. Sharma, Shri Ajit Kumar, Ms. Kanika Narayan, Mrs. Niti Narayan and others.

The Health checkup was done by Dr. S.K. Shrivastava and Dr. D. Nath.
Report- As you are aware that “World Red Cross day” means 8th of May is celebrated every year as the birthday anniversary of the founder of the Red Cross. Henry Dunant was the founder of the Red Cross as well as the founder of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), born in the Geneva in the year 1828. He was the most famous person and became the recipient of 1st Nobel Peace Prize.

Red Cross was introduced as a major contribution to the peace after the World War I by an international commission at 14th International Conference of the Red Cross. The principles of the Red Cross Truce was presented and approved on 15th International Conference at Tokyo in the year 1934 to get applicable all across the world in different regions. The possibility of its annual celebration was asked to the “League of the Red Cross Societies (LORCS)” by the International Federation of the Red Cross Societies (IFRC) General Assembly. And just 2 years later the proposal of celebrating this day annually was adopted and was first celebrated as the Red Cross Day on 8th of May in 1948. Later, it was officially named as the “World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day” in the year 1984.

World Red Cross Day is celebrated by the people on the international level to alleviate people’s suffering, enhancing their dignity, protecting their life from emergencies and lots of natural disasters including epidemic diseases, flood, and earthquakes. People are motivated to protect their own lives and take care of the dignity of other victims. It also highlights the international services to motivate people to hugely participate in the life-saving activities.

This year Theme is “Everywhere for everyone” Smile.

Organized ”World Red Cross Day” on 8th May 2018 : -

Today on 8th May 2018 the Indian Red Cross Society, Bihar State Branch celebrated ”World Red Cross Day” in the premises of Red Cross Bhawan, North of Gandhi Maidan, Patna.

The celebration started at Kargil Chowk where Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Health Department, Bihar and Dr. Binay Bahadur Sinha, Chairman along with thousands of members of JRC (school children) & YRC(college students), Red Cross Volunteers and gentries of the town released the balloons.

The main celebration was arranged in the premises of Red Cross Bhawan where the Chief Guests Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, and other distinguished guests were received by Dr. Binay Bahadur Sinha, Chairman and each was welcomed with the bouquet.

On this occasion Dr. D.K. Shrivastava, Vice President, Dr. B.B. Sinha, Chairman, Shri Uday Shankar Prasad Singh, Vice Chairman, Shri Dinesh Kumar Jaiswal, Treasurer, Shri Nagina Sharma, General Secretary, Dr. A.A. Hai, Padmshree Dr. R.N. Singh, Dr. K. N.P. Shrivastava, Members Managing Committee, Shri R.B.P. Yadav, IAS(Retd.), Ex-Honorary Director of Indian Red Cross Society, Bihar State Branch and other guests were present in this celebration. The Students and Teachers of 10 different schools of Patna were also present on this occasion.

In function from the dais first Red Cross Flag was hoisted by Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Health Department, Bihar. This was followed by Red Cross song tuned and sung by Junior Red Cross members of International School, Patna. The Chief Guest and others garlanded Sir Jean Henry Dunant, the founder of Red Cross Movement.

While delivering inaugural address Dr. B.B. Sinha told about the important humanitarian works of Sir Jean Henry Dunant and this year theme – Everywhere for everyone” Smile. He also described the important activities of Bihar Red Cross. He also announced to open an Eye Hospital in Red Cross Bhawan and requested Chief Guest to open modern immunization center, Urban Health Center at Red Cross Polyclinic and also to provide free common medicines for the poor patients from Bihar Government.

On this occasion, the Chief Guest inaugurated ”Red Cross Youth Club” in IRCS, Bihar State Branch. Such club has been opened in all the District branches in Bihar having total 5000 youths. In each club, there will be 100 youths who will be trained to serve the community at the time of disasters.

The Chief Guest Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Health Department, Bihar praised the work of Red Cross Polyclinic and assured that the Government will help in humanity works by providing immunization, to open Urban Clinic under Indradhanush Program of the Government as well as free medicines. He also thanked the Red Cross volunteers and also assured that the volunteers will be provided training regarding health liaisoning for disasters from Education Department.

Shri Uday Shankar Prasad, Vice Chairman told about the humanitarian work of Sir Jean Henry Dunant and insisted to increase the humanitarian activities of Bihar Red Cross.

Shri Dinesh Kumar Jaiswal, Treasurer also told about the humanitarian work of Sir Jean Henry Dunant and told about the Theme and also insisted to strengthen the activities of Red Cross Movement. For this purpose youth of the community has been taken is a very appreciable work of Bihar Red Cross.

Dr. D.K. Shrivastava, Vice President, Dr. A.A. Hai, Shri R.B.P. Yadav, IAS, Ex-Honorary Director have also told about the humanitarian work of Sir Jean Henry. They also told about the Honour of Sir Jean Henry from the First Noble Prize in the year 1901.

On this occasion ”Red Cross Life Time Award” was presented to Eye Specialists Late Dr. J.N. Rohatgi on Posthumously which was received by his daughters Dr. Anita Rohatgi and Dr. Anuja Rohatgi.

”Red Cross Life Time Award” was also presented to Dr. Dilip Sen, Ex-Member, Managing Committee for his excruciating humanitarian works.

The other two employees of Bihar Red Cross Shri Naresh Ram and Shri Quimmuddin were also presented ”Red Cross Life Time Award” for their excruciating works.

The vote of thanks was given by Shri Nagina Sharma, General Secretary to school children and others.

Patna Diary Project donated and Golden Ice-cream made available Lussy and ice-cream free of cost to the children. They were also thanked.

Shri Sudhir Kumar Gupta Rotary Patna provided 124 Red Cross T-Shirts to the members of Red Cross Youth Club. Shri Gopal Kumar, General Secretary, Bankers Club insisted to provide every help to the Bihar Red Cross.

In executing the function of ”World Red Cross Day” the work of Shri Shahabuddin, Assistant Secretary, Shri Dilip Kumar, Manager, Smt. Vandana Singh, DM Coordinator, Shri Mizanul Haque, Shri Ravindra Kumar and Gita and other employees of Bihar Red Cross is appreciable.
The Indian Red Cross Society, Bihar State Branch had sent relief materials along with other food items to the 35 district branches and sub-district branches by trucks on 01.02.2018.

These relief materials where for flood affected families of 35 districts i.e. Kaimur (Bhabhua), Darbhanga, Kishanganj, East Champaran, West Champaran, Rohtas(Sasaram), Gopalganj, Lakhisarai, Samastipur, Begusarai, Saharsa, Arwal, Nalanda, Nawada, Purnea, Madhepura, Buxar, Aurangabad, Madhubani, Khagaria, Katihar, Muzaffarpur, Supaul, Bhojpur, Munger, Vaishali, Jehanabad, Saran, Gaya, Ararea, Jamui, Begusarai, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Siwan and 1 sub-districts i.e Pupari

The trucks loaded with relief materials were flagged off by H.E. the Governor of Bihar, Sri Satya Pal Malik from Raj Bhawan Gate, Patna on 01.02.2018 at 03.00 P.M.
It is pleasure to inform you that Rs 76 laks has been donated by S.B.I Life Insurance for our initiative for Flood Relief 2017 in which 15 laks for U.P, 10 Laks for W.B,4.5 laks for Assam and remain in 46 laks plus for Bihar.
Gen Sec W.B,Assam and representative of U.P came to Patna to receive the Cheques which were handed over to theme by me.All the recipients were communicated to purchase /distribute the relief materials in collaboration with the S.B.I Life Insurance officials.Thanks S.B.I for generosity and faith on Red Cross Bihar
Chairman Red Cross Bihar Dr. Binay Bahadur Sinha attended SERV Programme in Patna city today where 800 Volunteers are going to be trained.

दिनांक: 27.07.2017 को जिला रेड क्रॉस सोसायटी द्वारा योगापट्टी प्रखण्ड के बाढ़ प्रभावित
क्षेत्र भवानीपुर पंचायत के खाप टोला ढ़बिया मेंआपदा जोखिम न्यूनीकरण प्रशिक्षण एवं मॉक ड्रिल&
का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित सैकड़ों ग्रामीणों को प्रशिक्षक मो. साकिब खान के
द्वारा बाढ़ एवं अग्नि के जोखिमों को कम करने व बचने, साँप काटने व पानी में डूबे व्यक्ति के
प्राथमिक उपचार, हानिरहित विधि से मरीजों को अस्पताल ले जाने के लिए लिए उठाना व पहुँचाना,
लाठी-कम्बल से स्ट्रेचर बनाना, बाढ़ में जीवन बचाने हेतु पानी बोतल को जोड़कर लाइफ किट बनाना
आदि की विस्तृत जानकारी दी गयी। मौके पर सचिव जगमोहन कुमार, जिला प्रबंध समिति सदस्य
गौहर अंजुम, सदस्य अभिजीत कुमार, स्वयंसेवक संजय ठाकुर आदि उपस्थित थे। कार्यक्रम के बाद
पौधरोपण भी किया गया।
पिछले दिनों चनपटिया अंचल के महनाकुली पंचायत के महना टोला मुसहरी गांव में अचानक आग लगने से महादलित परिवार के महेन्द्र पासवान, जवाहिर पासवान एवं मुस्मात गुलाबी के घर एवं उसमें रखे सामान जल कर राख हो गए थे। भारतीय रेड क्रॉस सोसायटी, बेतिया द्वारा आज दिनांक: 05.07.2017 को इन तीनों परिवारों को रेड क्रॉस भवन में एक-एक फैमिली पैक दिया गया। रेड क्रॉस सचिव जगमोहन कुमार, आपदा राहत समिति के लालबाबू प्रसाद, विनय कुमार, दीपक वर्मा, हरिनारायण प्रसाद के द्वारा पीड़ित परिवारों के बीच सामग्री वितरित की गयी। मौके पर स्वयंसेवक इमरान कुरैशी, महेन्द्र प्रसाद आदि उपस्थित रहें।
01 जुलाई, 2017 को रोटरी इंटरनेशनल, भारतीय रेड क्रॉस सोसायटी एवं सशस्त्र सीमा बल के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में 44वीं बटालियन SSB कैम्प, नरकटियागंज में मेगा रक्तदान शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। डिप्टी कमांडेंट अंजय कुमार रजक, आई. एम.ए. के सचिव डॉ. प्रमोद कु. तिवारी, रोटेरियन डॉ. प्रदीप कुमार, रेड क्रॉस सचिव जगमोहन कुमार आदि ने संयुक्त रूप से फीता काटकर शिविर का उद्घाटन किया। कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने में रोटेरियन सुजय कु. सिन्हा, रेड क्रॉस के डॉ. राशिद अज़ीम, डॉ. देवीलाल यादव, लालबाबू प्रसाद, दीपक कुमार वर्मा, विकास कुमार, ब्लड बैंक, बेतिया के डॉ. के.एम.पी. पर्वे, मो. तबरेज़ अख्तर, जीत बंधन, नंदलाल प्रसाद, रोटरी क्लब, बेतिया व नरकटियागंज की टीम, SSB डॉ. मनोरंजन भारती व उनकी टीम आदि की सक्रिय भूमिका रही।

तृतीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस के अवसर पर दिनांक: 21.06.2017 को महाराजा स्टेडियम, बेतिया में पतंजलि योग समिति, भारत स्वाभिमान द्वारा आयोजित योग शिविर का उद्घाटन बिहार सरकार की पूर्व मंत्री रेणु देवी, जिला रेड क्रॉस के सचिव जगमोहन कुमार, प्रखंड प्रमुख गीता देवी, योग प्रशिक्षक शशिभूषण आदि ने संयुक्त रूप से दीप प्रज्ज्वलित कर किया। शिविर में रेड क्रॉस के आजीवन सदस्य सुबोध कुमार, नितेश पटेल, अनिल कुमार, स्वयंसेवक राजू कुमार राम, म. सरफराज साहिल, तारकेश्वर कुमार, विशाल कुमार, पतंजलि योग समिति के कार्यकर्ताओं सहित जिले के सैकडों स्त्री, पुरुष व बच्चे शामिल थे।

विश्व तम्बाकू निषेध दिवस के अवसर पर दिनांक- 31.05.2017 को भारतीय रेड क्रॉस सोसायटी एवं महाराजा पुस्तकालय के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में "नशामुक्ति में युवाओं की भूमिका" विषयक भाषण प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन पुस्तकालय के नेपाली सभागार में सम्पन्न हुआ, जिसमें हाजरा खातून ने प्रथम, मोती कुमारी ने द्वितीय व मनीषा कुमारी ने तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त किया। आयोजक प्रभारी पदाधिकारी यदुनाथ झा, प्रभारी पुस्तकाध्यक्ष पं. चतुर्भुज मिश्र, रेड क्रॉस के सचिव जगमोहन कुमार, सदस्य पारस कुमार ने प्रतिभागियों को प्रेरक पुस्तकों से सम्मानित किया। इस भाषण प्रतियोगिता के निर्णायक मंडल के सदस्य के रूप में रेड क्रॉस सदस्य सैयद शकील अहमद, विनय कुमार, चन्द्रिका राम थे।

Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized by Red Cross Blood Bank in Collaboration with Punjab National Bank on12th April 2017 at its Foundation Day Camp was inaugurated by Sri Manu Mahraj SSP,Patna and Dr Rakesh Gupta,G.M,Pnb,Bihar Jharkhand in presence of Dr B.B.Sinha,Chairman,Red Cross,Bihar
World Health Day was observed on 7th April, 2017 on the Theme given by WHO “Depression-Let’s talk”.

On this occasion State Branch organized a “Free Health Check-up Camp” at Red Cross Bhawan, Patna in which Blood Pressure, Blood Grouping, Diabetes test, E.C.G., Weight Loss and Fitness Test etc. were provided to the local poor people. About 300 people were benefited in this Camp.

The Camp was inaugurated by Shri S.K. Negi, IAS (Retd.), Chairman, Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission, Govt. of Bihar, Patna. Specialist doctors, social activists and Red Cross Volunteers participated in the camp. Our Districts & Sub- District Branches have also organized Health Check –up camp on this occasion.

At 3.00 P.M. on the same day a Seminar was also organized at Red Cross Bhawan, Patna on the subject - “Depression-Let’s talk” which was inaugurated by Dr. D.K. Shrivastava, Vice President, IRCS, Bihar State Branch Patna. Dr. S.S. Mishra, In-Charge, Composite Rehabilitation Center, Govt. of India, Patna was the Guest of Honour. About one hundred people attended the seminar. Detail discussions were held about the causes and prevention on Depression.
It is well known that Tracing and FNS activities is one of the wings of the Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies in the World.

Indian Red Cross Society, Bihar State Branch is also running this service since the beginning. For implementation of activities of Tracing and FNS services presently after constitution of Managing Committee, IRCS, Bihar State branch "Tracing & Abuse Committee" has been formed under the convener-ship of Shri Ajit Kumar Singh.

Today- on 01st April, 2017 a formal meeting has been held under the chairmanship of Dr. B.B. Sinha, Chairman, IRCS, Bihar State Branch in which it was decided to constitute Tracing & FNS Cell in headquarter of every district branches in Bihar. It was also decided that for tracing purposes one can contact on phone no. 0612 2201035 in the State Branch, Patna. Shri Ajit Kumar Singh, convener of "Tracing & Abuse Committee" was present in this meeting.
On 18 March 2017, IRCS Bihar branch organized blood donation camp at Muzaffarpur in the precious presence of HE Governor of Bihar.

Bihar state branch organized three days feresher training programme for FMR intsructor from 14th to 16 July 2016 under DM prog. 2026 .Total 22 red cross volunteers were participated in this training programme. Volunteers were from 6 districts of Bihar , namely Saharsa Khagaria, katihar, Motihari, Darbhanga and Patna. Training programme has been successfully finished.

Basic aim to organize a Stall by IRCS, Bihar State Branch in BSDMA pavilion will be to generate awareness about First Aid training , climate change, hand washing practice and role of Vitamin ‘D’ in human- body among the visitors.
Divisions of the Activities.

1) a. First Aid Camp:- In this camp one doctor and four first aider volunteers will be available for :

· doing Initial treatment including bandaging in case of fracture, bleeding & injuries,

· Process of CPR in case of heart attack and drowning.

· Immediate treatment of Snake bite -

-- 2. Awareness cum training desk - regarding Climate change adaptation, hand washing practice and role of Vitamin ‘D’ in human- body.

The above three activities will be explained by the trained volunteers under supervision of Bihar State Branch officers with the help of informations printed on flex.

Besides the above the following activities will be performed:-

v Live conversation with public.

IRCS,Bihar State Banch was organized " Health Checkup camp" on 20th September 2015 at Mahadalit Girls Hostel, Lal Kothi Danapur. About 126 Girls were examined by the Doctors. In this camp many specialized doctors in the filed of Dentist, Eye, E.N.T, General Physician etc. checked the health of Girls of hostel with full dedication. Medicines and biscuit were also given to them.
